Spring is Near Flea Season Starts!

It's that time of the year, that most dog and cat owners fear. Flea season is around the corner and if it is as bad as it was last year, it's time to prepare. Start your treatments soon and be prepared. If your dog is going to play with other dogs and run free in grassy areas, then you need to have a flea plan.

I like to make sure that I give at least a month of treatment before the actual season starts. Then I know that my dog will be ready to fight off a flea invasion. You will also need to take a look at your pet and check for fleas. Even with treatment fleas can still be running around your pet. Check the common flea areas the tail crotch and back of the neck. The fleas also like to hide out in the ears. Observe your pet and see if he or she is constantly scratching.

If you have a game plan then it will be much easier to deal with the flea season. This will save your pet from pain and your home from a flea infestation.

Flea season usually runs from early spring until December depending upon the weather.
